About the Therapist

Xue Yi is an Occupational Therapist (OT) who has more than 10 years experience providing OT services and consultation across clinic, home, school and community environments. Xue Yi holds a post-professional Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University, Canada. She is a registered OT with the Allied Health Professional Council (Singapore) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). She is a certified practitioner in Ayes Sensory Integration, including advanced training in the administration of comprehensive measures of sensory integration for children. 

Experiences

Xue Yi has broad OT experience having worked in both Singapore and Canada. During her time in Canada, she supported women and their children experiencing trauma, mental health, addictions and other complex health challenges. She specializes in assessment, intervention and consultation of children, teens and adults with a variety of diagnosis including Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, sensory processing and integrative disorders, social-emotional vulnerabilities, executive functions, nuero-developmental concerns, academic learning challenges (e.g. handwriting issues, dyslexia, dysgraphia). 

Beliefs and Philosophy

Xue Yi believes in providing holistic family-centred care to clients and their families. She has extensive experience collaborating and consulting with families, educational and multidisciplinary teams to guide, support and coach them through the therapy journey. Her calm demeanor and positive attitude have been her strength in building rapport and establishing relationships.

Attitude

Xue Yi is passionate and thoughtful in her work. Outside of work, as a mother of 2 daughters, she enjoys spending quality time with family and close friends. She loves outdoor activities and sports such as hiking, diving and tennis. She loves doing what she does as an OT and  being able to make a positive impact on people’s lives.
